Add name when creating a item / password

Add name when creating a item / password

When I create a pw and userid on a homepage, Lastpass suggest to save this. Very good.
But I can only update, user, pw and Folder data when adding this info to Lastpass .
I would also like update "Name"
As it is now I must wait some minutes, open lastpass, search for the item and then I can update the name.

Should be very easy to solve?

I came to the Idea Exchange to add a suggestion to add an option to the pop-up to Add and Edit (or just Edit) which would open up the new entry for, you guessed it, editing. I like the suggestion presented here but would also like to be able to Edit the entry as I often add notes when adding new sites and it occasionally saves a URL that is not exactly where one would go to log on.

When a new sign-in is detected, LastPass automatically asks if the user wants to save the password. However, some sites may have multiple logins and the 'Name' field has to be added later. For example, I have several Gmail accounts added to LastPass. If I want to add another email account, then I can, but need to name it later on through the vault. If the name field could be edited while the password is being saved, that would make things easier.

I strongly support this!!

As mentioned before it's "a major PITA".

Yes - please add this - at least the edit button should be possible, right?

Tbh I do not put too much hope in this, given that the status is still 'new' since last november. Perhaps Lastpass shares the faith of so many great products that were bought by big companies and then just left to rot in developers nirvana... 😞

I'm really mindblown that 1) I'm only the 2nd person to thumbs-up this, and 2) LastPass product managers and developers aren't dogfooding their own products enough to have noticed how painfully needed this functionality is by now.  It's been a nuisance with LastPass for as long as I can remember--several years.

Regarding 1, It's clear these suggestions aren't getting enough exposure... to be honest, this has been annoying me as long as I've used LastPass (several years now), but, with all of the things I have to juggle as a business owner, it's one of those things that was never a big enough priority to report.  I just now got annoyed enough to finally take a few minutes, and see if someone had already reported this.  Thanks @HarshJ23 for taking the time to add this suggestion--your explanation is mine almost exactly, and this VERY simple functionality would reduce a LOT of nuisance!

This can get especially confusing when you have several passwords on the same domain, and try to go back in after adding the new one, to rename it.  They can all kind of look the same.  That's especially why it seems a no-brainer that you should be able to name the password right when LastPass prompts you to add it, rather than having to go back in later, and try to figure out which one's the one you just created.

Thanks,

Maximillian C.
