Can you attach files in the LastPass mobile app?

If I want to add an attachment using the app I am shown tree icons: image gallery, take a photo, record a sound.

This happens for every type of items (secure notes, passports, etc.).

How can add a file from my phone (that is not an image)? For example how can I add a pdf of a certificate?

And how can I download a file to the phone?

Also an answer to a related topic How to access attached files in individual LastPass records would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: How to attach files from app?

As I have explained above, I am only offered the option to add an image (from gallery), take a photo, or register a sound.

I can not do what you are suggesting

Sorry, but I can not take a screenshot (because the app prevent me to).

If, while editing a note, I press Attachments, I can see three icon at the bottom of the screen. Each one for the three actions I described. No option to add a generic file.

Re: How to attach files from app?

Hello,

Sorry for any confusion. Currently attaching files via the LastPass app (in both iOS and Android) is not yet supported, only photos and audio/voice recordings can be attached in the LastPass apps and files must be attached using the LastPass browser extension. I've passed this request to add support for uploading file attachments to the LastPass mobile apps along to our development team for consideration in future updates as well.

Re: How to attach files from app?

Just for the record

I am afraid this is not working. (art least in my mobile phone, it matt work in other devices)

If I press the add a picture button, I am asked witch so to use to select it, and I am only given two options to choose from. All of them allow me just to select among images and not other files type are offered.

If the app had called the Android built file selector, I would probably be able to select a different file type.

Re: How to attach files from app?

Thanks for the correct response.  Please renew request for this attachment feature for phone apps.

Further suggestions to pass on  are: 1) To strengthen and generalize the storage of secure personal data such as membership/warranty/id cards with direct scanning AND/OR photocopy attachment -- see new national id scanning technology that solves problem of photo capturing drivers licenses (focus you f***!!!)  etc. with multiple intelligent image processing passes. 2)  Improve form fill interface.
