Lastpass Authenticator deleted all accounts

I just tried to login to lastpass using lastpass Authenticator. I approved it on my Apple Watch and nothing happened. I tried a few times. I grabbed my phone which was charging, and opened lastpass Authenticator. It wouldn’t show me my codes when I opened it. It said “restore from backup” or “add a new code”. There was no way out of the prompt. I closed the app and opened it, still there. I clicked restore. Now all my 2FA logins are gone. Where did they go? I need them restored.

Same here.. besides everything being really slow I also lost every account from my authenticator app.... while trying to use my watch to 'accept' the authentication.

How on earth... the most basic feature of this app... My company is paying bigtime for this 'Lastpass' environment but so far there are really lots of 'lose ends' and **bleep**ty implemented stuff..

What happend here? When is this bug fixed?

Just had the same happen to me and the help article is saying I can get the QR code from within lastpass but the option isn't there.

Same issue here. IMO, the best way to spur a fix is to leave a 1-star review for the app in the iOS App Store describing this bug. It's unacceptable.

The same happened to me. Tried to authenticate through apple watch and all accounts are deleted from iPhone Lastpass Authenticator. Please help

I went into the settings of Last Pass and removed my phone from the authenticator and tried to set up from scratch but it wouldn't show the QR code to set up the iPhone again. I ended up "pretending" I was setting up google authenticator by turning it on in Last Pass and it popped up a QR code which I then scanned with the LP authenticator.

I went into LP on my laptop to do this so the QR code was able to be scanned. I hate to say for obvious reasons you can't generate the QR code on the iPhone as it can't scan itself but I used to work in IT 😉

One user in our office (with an Apple Watch) also has this issue, all accounts deleted and unable to restore.

This has happend 3 times since this month. I already advised not to accept on the Apple Watch but that did not help either. Today all codes are gone again.

Is there already a solution or workaround for this?

Yeah move over to another password manager as fast as possible.. this software is a trainwreck...

That on his own wouldn't be the biggest problem but there is also no indication that the developer behind it is doing anything about it.

Really the only option you have is vote with your money and go to another supported password manager.

This conclusion is not only because of THIS issue.. so many points of the Lastpass software / environment are really the worst ever.

Same here - all accounts regularly disappear, making this a non-starter as an authenticator app.

I switched to Twilio Authy and it works much, much, much better.

Thanks, my authenticator stopped working again which is annoying to say the least!
