LastPass autofill doesn't work with my preferred browser on Android - Vivaldi Browser.
This apparently works in BitWarden, but not LastPass. The discussion in the Vivaldi forums point to LastPass to help add this: https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/408558
Any chance you could work with the Vivaldi devs to resolve this?

Hello,
Currently Vivaldi is not currently an officially supported browser for LastPass. We have let our developers know that users are interested in support for the Vivaldi browser, and while there's no news to share yet you can always check the System Requirements page in the future to see if Vivaldi support has been added. Please note that since Vivaldi (or any other browsers that are not officially supported, such as Brave) any issues you may run in to are not able to be troubleshot or resolved by our team unless they are added as officially supported browsers in the future.
Thanks for your reply.
I don't see a list of supported mobile browsers on the System Requirements page, am I missing something?
For what it's worth, the LastPass Chrome extension forks fine in the desktop version of Vivaldi even though it's not listed on that page.
Hello,
Sorry for the confusion. On mobile devices, the LastPass app (for Android and iOS) is the preferred way to use LastPass across your entire device, and the supported browsers are found in the "Web Browsers" section of the page linked above and if any new officially supported browsers are added you will find them there.
Hi @RachelO ,
I'm having trouble with this too. I am using the LastPass app. I believe LastPass thinks Vivaldi is an app and not a browser, so it thinks it should look for a specific website associated with the Vivaldi app, rather than looking for the website the user is currently on.
A team member said on the forums that
"Bitwarden has been great with adding support for Vivaldi and we've been discussing the issue with 1Password as well, but we haven't had such luck with reaching out to LastPass."
What can we do to make Vivaldi a supported browser?
Thank you for your time.
"I believe LastPass thinks Vivaldi is an app and not a browser, so it thinks it should look for a specific website associated with the Vivaldi app, rather than looking for the website the user is currently on."
That sounds about right. When trying to log in to the Sync feature in the app, LastPass does offer login help, though doesn't detect the correct accounts.
On websites the auto fill pop up either doesn't appear at all or appears when tapping on the password field, but then fills the wrong fields (username ends up in the browser's search/address field).
Here's what Bitwarden did: https://github.com/bitwarden/mobile/search?q=vivaldi. Your code is probably different, but might give devs some ideas.
@RachelO, I'd appreciate it, if you could pass it on to the team.
Jane
Team Vivaldi
Hello,
Thanks for the information. I've passed your feedback along to our team for consideration of adding this browser support in a future update.
Another Vivaldi user here. It would be really great if this issue could be fixed.
Interestingly, you don't list Brave as a supported app either, but Brave on Android works perfectly with LastPass, whereas Brave Beta (which is a separate package, rather than just a different version number of the same package) doesn't, and displays the same issue as Vivaldi.
So, please apply whichever fix you used for Brave to Vivaldi, Vivaldi Snapshot, and Brave Beta.
Not having LastPass easily usable with these browsers is inconveniencing users and hurting the adoption of both the browsers in question and LastPass.
Another Vivaldi user here. Not having lastpass work for my browser of choice is a real pain. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could add support for it!
One of the--if not the biggest--advantage of lastpass is that it works everywhere. Unfortunately, it's kinda not working everywhere for me, which makes it less appealing as an option. =/
