Sorry in advance if I am posting about a previously addressed question.
We are using Hamachi to support our application hosted at the client's location. Each location has a hub-and-spoke connection, where the Application and Database servers (both at a remote location) communicate regularly using the local TCP/IP network connection. After about a week, I ran the report to see the traffic that goes on. I saw that these two servers ran up a tally of gigs of data being transferred between the two. I logged into the servers, pinged one-another, and they are returning the Hamachi IP Address, but at 1ms response time.
I am wanting to verify that Hamachi is NOT using the outgoing internet connection to process this data, because according to the report, it would appear so. If this is the case, I suggest that the reports have the ability to filter out local network traffic and show only internet traffic (and vice versa).
Any information would be much appreciated. I assume that Hamachi is merely reporting on all forms of traffic, but I don't like to make assumptions when clients are involved.
Thanks In Advanced,
