Logging in with Windows 7 Pro and a domain.

I am trying to setup logmein free on my work PC.  The work PC is Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and requires a domain to login to.  I also have a VPN that I use before attempting any connections.  Anytime I try to connect I get the following,

Error: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. (1326)

For username I have tried domain\user, computer\user, domain\computer\user, and just user.

What am I missing? Do I need to change the 'Log on to' box to something else? (it gives me the option for this computer, the domain, and a few other options).

Anyone got any help for me?

J

Re: Logging in with Windows 7 Pro and a domain.

Hello,

I solved the problem.

In the login-screen you´ll see :

1  username

2  password

3  computer

Change the 3 from computer to domain.

Now login with only username and password.

Have a lot of fun!

Thanks for coming to the Community.  Please consult this document from our Knowledge Base for a possible solution. This is also an oft-discussed topic and there are some users with solutions, just use the search tool above to search the forums

Re: Logging in with Windows 7 Pro and a domain.

Unfortunately this does not help: I am part of the Administrators group, but am not a local user -- am a domain user; normally I log in as MYUSERNAME\MYDOMAIN .  But entering that, and my password, into logmein does not work.  Does LogMeIn not work with user accounts that are on external domains?

Thanks,

If you are receiving 1326, you are typing something wrong.  In most cases, you should be typing domain\username.

Re: Logging in with Windows 7 Pro and a domain.

I am seeing the same problem and have been working with it all day.

Tried domainname\username

Tried computer name\username

Tried just username

Tried domain administrator name

Tried domainname\domain administrator name.

I'm at a complete loss. Anybody fiind a solution for this yet?

Re: Logging in with Windows 7 Pro and a domain.

I´m seeing the same problem.

When I´m reading the log-file, I can see, that I input the account like that:

domain\username .

LogMeIn used:

computername\domain\username

That´s complete crazy. I´ll look for a solution of this prob.
