Re: Vault opens when "Open vault after login" is not ticked

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your detailed information as we work to try and reproduce and resolve this issue, your info is helpful and much appreciated.

As a troubleshooting step, could you click on the LastPass browser extension icon, click Account Options (or your email address/username, depending on your view) and then go to your Extension Preferences > Advanced and ensure the "Open login dialog when browser starts" is not selected? Having this option selected will result in a tab being opened (instead of the login modal from the LastPass extension) with the LastPass login dialog, and once you enter your credentials your Vault will load in that tab.

To be sure the vault does not load upon logging in and that the tab showing the LastPass login dialog (which, as noted above, will load your vault in the tab upon login) also doesn't show when you start a new browser session, please be sure both the "Show vault after login" and "Open login dialog when browser starts" boxes are un-checked in your Extension Preferences.

Re: Vault opens when "Open vault after login" is not ticked

RachelO,

That is exactly how I have my browsers configured (as I described in my lengthy post previously).

I have all instances of LastPass configured so it will prompt me to login when I open my browsers and to not open my Vault automatically.

It is, however, opening my Vault, which it should not.

Rachel:

the thing is that we do want  "Open login dialog when browser starts".

then all you have to do is type in your master password and press enter - nothing else. it used to work fine that way - why change anything? I am not the only one to like it that way.

ALSO: a new super annoying thing: can you please have an option to stop seeing the "change the master password" reminder each time we log in.

...that is not an option, we DO want to login when browser start, EXACTLY as it was doing before this "nice" (to be polite) update...

Re: Vault opens when "Open vault after login" is not ticked

So how do we login then? We have to click on the extension after the browser starts?

That is not a solution. It's a bodged circumvent.

Can't you see that the way it works has changed after the last update, and nobody likes it? Every time you make substantial changes, often to bring a new feature that nobody wanted, you break something. I have cancelled my premium update, I am not paying for this any more when my next expiry comes up.
