Can't match resolution
LogMeIn had me download an update before using the login client recently and since then I have been unable to use the match screen resolution feature. Work monitor is 1920x1080, home monitor is 1680x1050 (it was an old spare that was laying around because my 1920x1080 died, have been using it this way for 3 months now)... It worked fine up until the update the other day, now when I click match resolution it bounces between the 2 resolutions and then returns to 1920x1080 which is squished and very small of a view on the 1680x1050. It won't allow me to select it manually, it just bounces again as if I click "Match resolution". There is also a lag trail of the mouse pointer now too that didn't exist previously.Solved18KViews1like11CommentsMacOS Big Sur host: no mouse click or keyboard input accepted from client
Since upgrading my Mac to MacOS Big Sur I am unable to interact with it via the LogMeIn Client (both MacOS and iOS versions of the client are affected) as it no longer accepts mouse clicks or keyboard input. I've already tried the trick of unchecking/checking the client app in the Security/Accessibility settings app, that did not have any effect. Is Big Sur not yet supported by LogMeIn?Solved12KViews0likes21CommentsBlack screen from Mac host
This has been a common topic over the years. I am running Windows 10 Enterprise at work. I have a Mac desktop at home running Big Sur. Over the past several months, whenever I try to access my home computer (the Mac) from my office computer, it's 50/50 on whether I can see and use the Mac or simply get a black screen. About 2-3 weeks ago, I was able to access my Mac. This week, it's just the blank screen. Actually, a couple of days ago, I could see the menu bar and the wallpaper on my Mac but couldn't see or use any apps. I attempted to fix that and now I only see a black screen. Any suggestions?Solved7.1KViews0likes10CommentsMac host only showing desktop wallpaper and menu bar
Mac has just received a new update (to Big Sur) I log in with Windows 10 and all I see isdesktop wallpaper and menu bar. I've checked the security settings, everything LogMeIn related is checked. The issue began with the update.6.6KViews0likes26CommentsScreen Resolution, Matching, Black Screen, AMD Graphics
Have just built a new workstation which I intended to run headless and use via LogMeIn only. It happens to use an AMD based graphics card. The computer was set up fine with directly connected keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Unplugged all peripherals, logged in from another computer, and got to a black screen. Nothing I did like moving the mouse or sending CTRL-ALT-DEL or changing the resolution yielded an image. The spare monitor I have on hand is a 1600x900 monitor. I plugged this in and then remotely connected again. I can then connect properly, except my remote resolution maxes out at 1600x900 - both Screen Matching and manually selecting 1920x1080 (the resolution of the computer I'm sitting at) do not work with the latter being completely unavailable anyway. Somewhat anecdotally, the only other computer I've worked with with LogMeIn and an AMD Graphics card can also not remotely set a standard, full HD resolution. That one can set anything like 1600x900, 1600x1200, or 1024x768, but not 1920x1080, and THAT computer IS plugged into a 1920x1080 monitor. So, I've got two AMD based computers which cannot set a standard full HD remote connection resolution for two different reasons, and I can't operate them headless because I get nothing but a black screen. I'd rather not have to waste a monitor plugging it into a remotely accessed machine, and I'd rather not be stuck at the 1600x900 of the only spare display I have. Are there any solutions for any of this?5.6KViews0likes7CommentsPhotoshop Tools
Anyone else notice that the cursor no long reflects the currently selected tool in Photoshop CC 2018? A few tools have been glitchy for a while (i.e., the brush tool only visible at certain sizes), but now no matter which tool I select, the cursor just remains a black arrow (and not even the move tool black arrow, but just the plain cursor black arrow). Makes it practically impossible to do any fine tuning in Photoshop. :/5.4KViews1like14Comments2 Monitors - Diff res. - LogMeIn will not go full screen on 2nd monitor (1080 / 1440)
Hello everyone, I am helping out my wife who's work is using LogMeIn for remote access into their office. At home she has 2 monitors 1 - 24" 1080;p 1 - 27" benQ 1440p monitor. We have her set up with 2 separate screen sessions, she has 2 monitors at work. The issue is, the 24" 1080 screen can open full screen and looks fine. But the 1440p monitor, only goes up to 1920 x 1080 res and leaves a large black border around it. Is this is a limitation of LogMeIn? Can it not scale 2 different resolutions or is it a limit of the "source" computer screen resolutions? I was planning to buy her a 2nd matching 1440p monitor, but if LogMeIn wont scale to use 1440p.....no real point. Appreciate the help.Solved4.8KViews0likes5CommentsDefault Printers
I'm helping a user who is having trouble managing her default printer with LogMeIn. She is running Windows 7 on her home computer and Windows 10 on her work computer. Her work computer is the LogMeIn host computer. When she is at work, she wants one of the office printers to be the default on her work computer. When she is at home and is connecting to her work computer via LogMeIn, she wants her redirected home printer to be the default on her work computer and then when she disconnects she wants her work default printer to switch back to the office printer it had been before she connected. If we set her redirected home printer to be the default on her work computer, then when she disconnects her work computer chooses another default printer that is not the one she wants. So when she goes into the office she has to change it back. If we set her office printer to be her default, then her home printer does not automatically become her default when she connects to her work computer. Is it possible to set things up the way that she wants?4.4KViews0likes6CommentsCan't drag objects from one screen to another remotely without stopping
One day I was able to drag objects from one screen on my remote PC(Windows 10) to the other screen, then one day I cannot without stopping first. Seems like this happened when I started using the Mac version of LogMeIn client. For example, I can click and drag a Windows Explorer window from one screen to another, but when the window is halfway between the 2 screens it stops, I must 'unclick', drag my mouse pointer to the destination screen and continue to click and drag. Very annoying. Both my Mac and the remote PC are running 2 monitors and I have LogMeIn set to Multi-Monitors.4KViews0likes10Comments
