Default Printers
I'm helping a user who is having trouble managing her default printer with LogMeIn. She is running Windows 7 on her home computer and Windows 10 on her work computer. Her work computer is the LogMeIn host computer. When she is at work, she wants one of the office printers to be the default on her work computer. When she is at home and is connecting to her work computer via LogMeIn, she wants her redirected home printer to be the default on her work computer and then when she disconnects she wants her work default printer to switch back to the office printer it had been before she connected. If we set her redirected home printer to be the default on her work computer, then when she disconnects her work computer chooses another default printer that is not the one she wants. So when she goes into the office she has to change it back. If we set her office printer to be her default, then her home printer does not automatically become her default when she connects to her work computer. Is it possible to set things up the way that she wants?4.4KViews0likes6CommentsDesktop resolution keeps resetting
Hello, We all of a sudden have many users that can not adjust their display settings properly. It works after following the steps from another post (listed below) however if they lock their screen, reboot, of log off... it reverts back. For instance a PC with a resolution of 1920x1080 always resets to 1024x768. Previous post temporary solution: Use logmein to login to the computer Right click the desktop Select display settings Take note of the active monitors, there could be many monitors but greyed out, focus on the active monitors For instance there could be 4 monitors and only 3 & 4 are active From the example above, pick one of the active monitors (3 or 4) Under “Multiple Displays” option, select duplicate these displays on monitors 3&4 or whatever 2 monitors are active in your case Under “Display Resolution” select desired display Under LogmeIn options, select Match DisplaySolved3.5KViews0likes2CommentsRENOUVELLEMENT AUTOMATIQUE

Looking for an explanation related to reports and genrating them: What is the difference between Remote Session and Remote Access Session? - and then, in "Remote Sessions" between "Remote Control" and "Background Access" Is Remote Session just the time a computer was accessed (and related info..ip address, time...)? Once you choose Remote Access Session, there are two types of sessions on my report; Remote Control and Background Access? I could assume the Remote Control the user was logged in and remotely controlling the host computer; then Background Access, user is signed into the host but not using the host remotely? I read the user guide, did not include these options in discussion/explanation. Any guidance would be appreciated.... Thank you.3KViews0likes2CommentsMacOS Catalina access to bash
Does anyone know the correct PPPC to allow LMI to be pre-approved to work on a Mac with Catalina? We use Jamf to manage our Macs and can use it to push out the PPPC once we find one that works. Its good to see the thread about the 32bit apps was solved but now we are onto the next phase so new thread.2.9KViews0likes3Comments"Your session has timed out or the host went offline during your connection attempt"
Hello, who can help me with this problem I keep having? When I'm using LogMeIn there are time when I get this error: "Your session has timed out or the host went offline during your connection attempt" and I'm stuck unable to get back into the system. I'm often using the remote desktop function and it will freeze and be unable to reconnect. Then I get this error. Or just out of nowhere I get this error. I am using Mac 10.14.1 Thank you. I am good with computers, believe me, but this is an odd error. Is there someone I can call?2.6KViews0likes1CommentPossible to restrict User to View-Only?
Is it possible to restrict an invited user to access a computer in view-only (aka. "monitor host") mode? We have many external users that we will give remote access to a particular computer temporarily, but they will have full remote control capability. I want to add a user to be able to view-only on one machine, while it is being used. I can't find the option on LogMeIn Central adminsitration, in user or computer settings. Thanks! -- Demis2.4KViews0likes1CommentLMI is showing 4 monitors but only 2 are plugged in to host computer
Recently stumbled upon this issue. After signing in and selecting all monitors in the LMI options panel, it shows me 4 monitors but the host computer only has 2 monitors plugged in. It shows 2 generic non-pnp monitors and 2 generic pnp monitors. They look to just be mirrors of each other but the second monitor seems to operate separately. What could be the cause of this issue?2.4KViews1like6Comments
