Your session may have timed out or the host may have gone offline
The error occurs after opening the dashboard of the remote host using the logmein client software, then trying a remote connection from the dashboard. The remote host says it is in session however when trying to remote I receive the error "Your session may have timed out or the host may have gone offline. Please try again." and offers Reconnect or Close options. The reconnect button causes the same error. It appears to be a problem when first accessing the dashboard. After speaking with phone support they recommend restarting the remote machine, which can't be done until the client is back on site, defeating the purpose of having remote access. I have had this same issue with multiple remote hosts, running different operating systems. Any other solutions? Besides switching remote software providers.Solved16KViews1like26CommentsAudit Multi Factor Settings
I would like all of my users to use two-factor authentication. However, I want them to be able to save devices. Per this article (and personal experience), it does not let you save devices if you enforce the policy at the account-holder level. I would be satisfied with periodically checking the status of two-factor on my users' accounts. However I have not found a way to audit this. Is it possible?998Views0likes2Commentsbypass usernam/pass
Hello, i work for Kuubix global and i was tasked to install software using logmein automation. Before our current IT team the previous team had the admin name and creds different and its hard to get anything installed into these computers. i was able to install logmein using datto services. Now i need to install antivirus software crowdstrike, and install arctic wolf. Some of these computers we dont have username and passwords to. So i cant install any software to those computers without knowing the local user name and password. Is there a way to bypass the local username and password? i just want to run a cmd process by creating a local admin account so i can install software i mentioned above. for me to create local admin i need to have local admin creds otherwise i cant install anything let alone create any local admin accounts. i have to do this on 170 computers and need to get this done at the end of next week.752Views0likes0CommentsKVM Compatibility?
I have searched and cannot find anything in Central help or support that talks about how Logmein treats computers connected to KVM. I am trying to maximize office space by reducing the number of monitors taking up desk space. I have already used HDMI dummy plugs that have reduced the monitors down from 2/computer to 1/computer, but I would like to reduce even furtherto 1 monitor per 2 computers using KVM switches. I know that at least 1 monitor must be physically plugged into a computer in order for LogMeIn to work, so will LogMeIn Central recognize a monitor as existing if it is plugged in via a KVM switch? If so, will it do so for both computers at the same time, regardless of which is active on the KVM switch?860Views0likes0CommentsHow to re-download and reinstall the Logmein host after a computer crash?
I need to reinstall the Logmein Host on one of my computers that recently crashed and needed full reinstallation. However redownloading the host to my PC is not working out, when logging in, it want me to upgrade my subscription to add the computer to Logmein though I just want to reinstall same PC (Stick-PC in my account) and not actually add an extra PC. And yes, the crash took away the originial download file, that might have worked. Also, if I try to generate a new download link for my computer, it is refused because an upgrade of the subscription is needed. I even deleted an old PC from my account, no longer used, but it didn't help. I was careful not to delete the actual PC from the account until I am sure it is necessary, still I have one less PC on my account so it should have worked. My subscription plan is the one following the excpencive one time payed iOS Logme Ignition client app, not the PC plan btw if there is question about licencing. Meaning I remote control only from Ipad, not from PC. Regards Thomas Henden.3.2KViews0likes5CommentsMultiple complaints from end users since recent automatic update to LMI Client
It seems that the 1.3.5282 update has introduced a few issues in my environment that I am having trouble tracking down. Wonder if others are seeing these things. These issues are on home equipment that I do not manage but support on a best effort basis, so I'm limited in what I can/am willing to do. Home equipment (clients) is a mix of OSes. All hosts are Win 10. The more severe of the two issues is that the client application simply will not launch. You launch the application, you see the process for a moment in Task Manager, but then it closes immediately with no feedback. This has occurred on Windows 10 computers and a Windows 7 computer. I uninstalled the application, deleted all LMI folders from programdata and appdata, and installed an older version I fortunately had saved and instructed the users to not install updates when prompted. The other issue is that the remote computer looks blurry. We've gone through all the resolution options on the host and client side, as well as changing color depth and zoom settings to no avail. This has happened on Windows 10 and Mac clients.2.2KViews1like5CommentsDefault Policy - Network Host Blocking.
