March monthly product update!  

 

Hi GoTo Resolve community! As always, I am thrilled to be back with another community update – spring edition. Over the past few weeks, we've been focused on bringing new and improved features to GoTo Resolve – and we've delivered. With this packed round of updates, I am confident that you will find something here that resonates with you.

Here is a summary of the updates launched recently:  

 

Zendesk Integration for GoTo Resolve: Ever wondered how to start a fast and secure remote support session directly from a Zendesk ticket? Look no further: GoTo Resolve for Zendesk offers the possibility to remotely access and control a device, to troubleshoot issues from Zendesk Support/Chat, and the added flexibility to manage all support tickets at centralized place.

Create New Custom Ticket Fields in the Admin Center 

  

Admins now have the option to create new fields for tickets in the Admin Center. Each Helpdesk Service can have a different set of custom fields. Once created, the custom fields become immediately available in the ticket editor for agents to use. 

  

 

RMM Improvements 

 

Windows Updates  

  • Schedule updates: It is now possible to schedule updates to install on devices, thereby avoiding interrupting the ongoing work of supported end-users. 

  • Force reboot and postpone update installation: Are you faced with end-users not rebooting their devices, causing updates to be missed? It is now possible to force a reboot, ensuring a patch is installed on a device. It is also possible to give end-users the option to postpone to a later time. 

  • Device groups: Last year GoTo Resolve introduced device groups. We now added the group view to Windows updates, making it possible to install windows updates for a device group. 

 

Enhancements to Antivirus Management  

  • 3rd party Antivirus: Turn firewall on or off: It is now possible to see if a firewall’s status in real time, and to remotely turn it on or off. 
  • Device groups for AV: You’ll notice that you can now see devices according to groups on the 3rd party AV management page. 

 

More options with Alerting:  

  • Acknowledge alerts in batches:  From now on, it is possible to easily acknowledge alerts in batches. 
  • See what software was installed or uninstalled: Did you know that it is possible to get an alert when a user installs or uninstalls software on a device? Now, it is also possible to also see the specific software name that was installed or deleted. 

 

 Remote Execution

 

Scheduling for remote execution: Ever wanted to schedule remote execution jobs in advance? It is now possible to do just that!  What can you do now? 

  • Schedule RE jobs for up to 7 days in advance 
  • Offline devices can be selected during job creation 
  • If a device is not online by the time of job execution, it will be indicated in the job list
