mobile phone number no longer accessible

I have an employee that has come back to work for my organization after 3yrs.

I created him in logmein and sent the invite with no MFA.

however, I believe, because he was previously (3yrs ago) was created in logmein portal with MFA it still remembers this. However, he no longer has this number so codes are going to no where.

How can we fix this?
