Device Update status refresh frequency

How frequently does a device report its Windows Update status to the Console, and under what circumstances? I presume that after a reboot, it will report its new status. What about after updates such as Microsoft Defender AV definition updates? These don't require a reboot to install.

    Hi Boyd B. ,

    Updates should happen at latest every 30 minutes by design. So, there is no need for reboots. We have just released today an update and improvements about that.
