funcation key usage on wireless keyboard for ipad and logmein

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the function keys of my logitech keyboard to work with the logmein app on my ipad.  When I'm working remotely on a normal pc the f-keys work correctly.  When I try to work from my ipad with the logitech wireless keyboard and use the f-keys they don't register. There is the fn button to push when using them but again it doesn't register.  Does anyone have any helpful suggestions.  I'd like to do some extra work in the evenings on my own time doing data entry for work but it would be nice to work from the couch since i'd be on my own time. Thanks for any suggestions
