Cannot log into sleeping remote computer

I cannot log into a sleeping remote computer.  My first attempt is rejected because the computer is asleep.  The second attempt is rejected because the awakened computer thinks I am already logged in...

Ricspung  Is the Host PC on the same local network as your client PC? 

 

Are there others within your network that successfully wake their Hosts in this way?

    No, we are about 1200 miles apart.  I am the only user.  My boss changed settings today to stop it from sleeping and I am in successfully today,

      The only way to wake a sleeping computer currently is if you're on the same local area network.
