Log me in remote black screen - not working - after I install 27" Samsung monitor

Can you specify what operating system is in use there, how the monitor is connected, and if there are any video driver updates available from the PC manufacturer's website?

It may also be helpful to note the OS display settings for this new piece of hardware.
