logmein creating "waapi" folders
the last few months we've found hundreds of folders in C:\Windows\Temp named "waapi-<10 digits>". Each folder contains one file called ".sig" and one or more files named "<24 hex digits>". The folders are created about 15 minutes apart. Adds up to about 20GB per month.
No problem deleting these files as they accumulate, but we want to know where they come from. ProcMon shows they are being created by LogMeIn
Googling finds some similar reports, including this discussion
Folder Waapi-xxxxxx | GoTo Community - 324046
but nothing to explain where the come from or what do about it, other than delete them.
Any ideas?

Thanks for getting back to me, I found an internal ticket. I've reported the issue persists for you. I see the team is reviewing the issue JAAS reported and will keep you updated.

Hi Kate, I never had a ticket number, only that post where Glenn said he has a ticket open.

Apologies for the confusion, I accidentally hit the accepted solution button, but then removed it. That didn't stop the email though, sorry for the confusion.
Glenn is out through Thanksgiving, I've been looking for your case but I'm having trouble finding it. Do you happen to have a case number? I can also create a case for you if there isn't a case currently active.
JAAS I see that your case is currently under review and has now been escalated. I'll keep an eye out on the progress.

so this is really odd, I just received "A topic you're following on GoTo Community now has an accepted solution." And it points to the 3 month old post that says "I have a ticket open with the team and I will keep up updated on the progress."
Hardly a solution...

no, as below - no followup from GoTo. Behavior persists.

Did your team ever got back to you? I'm seeing the same behaviour.

nothing further from support, and it still happens. I just set up a task to purge > 14 days.

I'm seeing the same thing. Any update with your ticket?
