Sorry if this has been covered already, but I'm not clear after watching the video on how you are supposed to know that a device has triggered an alert- if you have NOT chosen to get email notificati...

Connection Status should alert you if you select Comes Online
For a visual indicator, the "Device Health" column will let you know when a device needs your attention. Then clicking on the device and viewing the device health will let you know what needs attention:
you can also change the "Focus View" to comprehensive and that will show you if there are any alerts:
lastly, you can click on "Alerts" and it will show you all of your active alerts:
