Screen Sharing Pause Functionality

On the old app, it was easy to pause your screen, switch back and forth to different screens/apps to share, without attendees seeing what you're doing. Now, with the new app, when you click pause screen, it often times minimizes your window (Keynote on Macbook for example) and your screen continues to share. It looks sloppy by showing behind the scenes and was never like this with the old version. Multiple co-workers are experiencing this every day. Please fix!

  • Hi tony1989, welcome to the community.

The GoTo App also has the Pause Sharing option, it is available once you are sharing something. While paused your attendee will see the last thing you were sharing and you can then open a new window or application without them seeing, then open the Share menu again and Resume sharing.

The other option that is available in the menu is Share something else. This option does not pause screen sharing, however, if you have more than one monitor you can use this to easily change which monitor you are sharing without pausing. You can also go from sharing one application window that is open to another application window without pausing.

For the Keynote issue you mention, can you provide more details about how you are presenting? We have always had challenges accessing controls with Keynote or Powerpoint running in Presentation mode on a single screen.
