Cannot screen share an announcement
Before the last "upgrade", if I had a last-minute announcement to our attendees, I could simply create one and put on my desktop, then share my desktop. I seem to have lost that ability. Am I missing some new widget to make this happen?SolvedGBNgal2 days agoActive Contributor38Views0likes4CommentsNew GoTo Feature Lost - Presenter's Preview Window
My team is struggling with the loss of the thumbnail preview window for the presenter. Formerly, as a presenter, you could see what you were presenting on screen, application only or full desktop, instead of just guessing/hoping you are only sharing what is intended! I need to ensure I am not sharing sensitive windows, and the new interface (forced to the web) does not allow this. Please bring this back!Jana Stockwell2 days agoActive Contributor15Views2likes1CommentFinally forced to the new GTM. Absolutely looking for an alternative, b/c it's worse in every way.
Where do I start? Using GTM now forces a trip through a browser for some reason. I have no idea who thought this was a good idea, because it's awkward and silly. Previously, GTM was just an application I'd run to start my meetings. How is this better? The "new" GTM is a serious screen hog, and has absolutely no respect for the need of a user to see OTHER things on the screen besides GTM. Again, who thought this was a good idea? Remote control of other attendee desktops/apps is now badly broken. This was a KEY part of how we've used GTM for over a decade. Candidly, if Teams is doing a better job than you at this, I'm not sure why we pay for you. Countless needless interface tweaks make the tool harder to use. I'm sure some sales drone or apologist will tell me you've done "research," but if it takes MORE clicks and MORE hunting to find features now than it did in the old version, the new version is therefore WORSE for me. How do I use the old version? Because if I can't, maybe I'm not going to use ANY version.Solvedchet13 days agoActive Contributor1.2KViews3likes8CommentsCo Organize Field missing
Hi community, we have a small problem after updating our GoTo Meeting licenses. When we now create a new meeting we are not able to add a co Organizer, because the requiered field is missing. We are still using GoTo Meeting Business without the Audio addon function. What we have instead is a drop down menu with a bunch of additonal features, but no co-Organizer. Help would be very appriciate as we checked all settings several time without success. Thanks much in advance Rogerrhaas4 days agoActive Contributor29Views0likes2CommentsMuting and Unmuting
I have a problem I did not have before with my GoTo Meeting sessions. Before your system was upgraded I could mute and unmute participants on the line when they had background noise. Now I can no longer do that and it is badly needed since we are a church group that have older members on the line that do not use the Web, they call in. I found through your support that I can use the mute all feature but that does not help since a participant could be a call in that I would interrupt by muting them. I need the feature re-installed the way it was so that muting and unmuting single participants is available again. I have been using GoTo Meeting successfully for our church for more than two years and I need this feature to have smooth sessions during our church services. Please fix this feature back to what we had before. Thank you.SolvedHgal10 days agoNew Contributor1.8KViews0likes5CommentsVideos not saving to the cloud
My recorded videos used to say to the cloud and I could find them in my documents folder. At some point I was signed out of OneDrive and I think that stopped the videos from saving in the folder. I am signed back in and have resumed recording calls like before, but now my videos are not downloading to the documents folder. What might the reason be that they aren't saving there anymore? It's pretty important for me as I record meetings multiple times a day and they are saved with date and client name for easy organization and moving to other folders. Downloading from the app is tedious and doesnt save with the date and client name.Asharetts13 days agoNew Contributor118Views0likes2Commentspowerpoint presenter view sharing issue
I have been a GoTo customer for 10 years. This is a new issue. When I share a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on a GoTo Meeting, it does not share the "slideshow view". Instead, it shares the normal powerpoint view only (essentially what you see when you're editing a powerpoint). This feels like a massive oversight from GoTo, maybe as a result of a compatability incongruency between the two platforms? It would be very helpful if someone from the GoTo engineering team reviewed this question and provided an update, as I'm sure others are dealing with this. I never have similar issues with Zoom or TeamsGraceandLu13 days agoNew Member45Views0likes1CommentHow to fix GoTo time limit regardless chosen duration?
Paid user here. On a Macbook, if that makes a difference. Using GoTo on Chrome browser. Since the recent update, GoTo now has a 40 minute limit to video calls. When we schedule calls, we set the duration to 1 hour. However, the call timer still shows 40 minutes. And once the call kicks us out, when we rejoin, our camera doesn't work anymore no matter how many times we change camera settings or turn it off/on again. How can we set the call duration to 1 hour or longer? And why does our video stop working when we rejoin? Thanks for your help.SolvedCMGarmindo13 days agoNew Contributor92Views0likes2CommentsHow to attach a file during a meeting
In 2013 there was a long thread about being able to attach a file to provide to an attendee within the current session. It was not an available feature at that time. It's been 11 year so I assume its there by now? I am using Join.Me (owned by GoTo). The website says " ALL features in Join.Me are in GoTo Meeting plus these ..." Being able to offer an attendee a file for them to download as needed. (See image from Join.Me). I'm not able to find that feature. Can anyone help?MrsCLyn15 days agoNew Contributor105Views0likes2Comments
