Cannot take any Remote Control
Hi, Since the switch the the 'new' desktop app a few months ago, things have been bad. But they have been really bad the last two days. No matter what happens, I cannot take Remote Control of attendee computers. They share their screen and they click Control and grant me access. I receive the popup that I have been given access and I click to take remote control. And then it just doesnt work. This has happened several times with several different attendees located in different states. I am basically at my wits end with GoToMeeting at this point. While in a meeting, the admin can share the entire screen but cannot share just one application. This had worked fine until the latest major update at which time, app sharing began to fail. I start my meeting and choose dial in or call me and get the same issue. I unmute and start speaking then the app mutes me a few seconds later. In the old Version of GoToMeeting, there was a button to deactive the automatic noise cancellation. In the current version the button got "replaced" with another button to deactivate the automatic volume control, but there is no longer the possibility to deactivate the noise cancellation. Hi community, we have a small problem after updating our GoTo Meeting licenses. When we now create a new meeting we are not able to add a co Organizer, because the requiered field is missing. We are still using GoTo Meeting Business without the Audio addon function. What we have instead is a drop down menu with a bunch of additonal features, but no co-Organizer. Help would be very appriciate as we checked all settings several time without success. So I started a goto yesterday and the whole interface has changed and certainly not for the better. I've been using goto since 2008, or there about, and the best thing about it was that we could draw during the meetings, but with the new interface drawing tools are nowhere to be found. What's most baffling about all this is that during all this time goto has done NOTHING to enhance the only thing that keeps me using it, no improvements to drawing, like circle, straight line, note clouds, being able to erase small areas instead of "all", etc etc etc. So can anyone tell me where they have hidden the drawing tools in the new interface? In my account the "Use the new GoTo option" always downloads the GoTo app. There is no difference between the option active or deactivated, the downloaded app is always the same. On the old app, it was easy to pause your screen, switch back and forth to different screens/apps to share, without attendees seeing what you're doing. Now, with the new app, when you click pause screen, it often times minimizes your window (Keynote on Macbook for example) and your screen continues to share. It looks sloppy by showing behind the scenes and was never like this with the old version. Multiple co-workers are experiencing this every day. "Save recordings in the cloud" is marked in my settings, which is working fine. But it is also saving recordings locally on my computer in my Documents folder. What's up with that? This never happened for years that I've used GoToMeeting before. It is only a recent issue. Also can I take the opportunity to state it is quite a bizarre decision for videos to be saved to the "Documents" folder, when most OS have a built-in "Videos" folder. The old GoToMeeting app allowed a choice of where videos were saved, if I recall correctly. Sadly another feature missing in the new GoTo app. Side note: The https://community.logmein.com/notifications endpoint seems to be broken (loads then fails with errors: "TypeError: Cannot destructure property 'uid' of 'e' as it is undefined.")SolvedLaisre2 months agoActive Contributor51Views0likes3Comments
