Changing Powerpoint slides while using the annotation tools

While sharing my screen to display a powerpoint presentation, I am unable to advance the powerpoint slide deck when I activate one of the writing tools in GOTO Meeting (i.e. the pen or highlighter).  When I am using the GOTO meeting writing tools to hihglight data in my presentation, how do I advance to the next slide?

Thank you

Re: Power Point Presentation on GO To Meeting

Hi @MavFrog

Have you tried using the Arrow keys to move your slides ahead when GoToMeeting creates the overlay for drawing purposes?

Re: Power Point Presentation on GO To Meeting

@JeffThorsen777  Which operating system are you using currently?

Try changing this setting for your next presentation in PowerPoint:

  1. Open your PowerPoint application.
  2. Click Slide Show in the top toolbar then Set Up Slide Show.
  3. Under "Show type", select Browsed by an individual (window) and click OK.
  4. When you begin screen sharing in GoToMeeting, click Applications and select the PowerPoint presentation you want to share.

Re: Changing Powerpoint slides while using the annotation tools

I never once liked PowerPoint for this one. Anything that didn't get it, I had to reinstall it because every few months, it wouldn't work properly, and after reinstalling, it would work normally. I don't know what it's related to, but I prefer to use other applications besides PowerPoint.

I used to prefer to use another application, but lately it doesn't work for me because college requires me to use excel, I hate it.
