Do I have to have a webcam access to join a meeting?

I have a meeting scheduled with a client who has asked me to join the meeting on gotomeeting.com. However, I do not have web cam access and would like to know if it is required to join in on a meeting that is set up on goto meetings?

Webcams are not required to join GoToMeetings.

You can join from a desktop, smartphone, or sometimes just dial in if the meeting offers local dial in options.

I can't seem to be able to test the webcam connection, but do I need it? Or is audio sufficient?
