Remove grey box from confirmation emails

There seems to have been an update with the confirmation emails and now a grey box appears around the logo. The logo we use is a PNG with no background however when it gets uploaded to your system, the white background is added. It would be great to remove this grey box so that the logo blends in with a white background and doesn't look blocky and outdated.
