Hey LogMeIn Team,
My Chinese-speaking colleague noticed that the date format in Chinese is not good. He says it is understandable, but it should be written differently. This date format is in use on the registration pages and in the automatic emails sent by GoToWebinar.
Example (for the 2nd of June 2020):
星期二, 2020 六月 2 2:00 下午 - 3:00 下午 CST
Proposed, better format:
星期二, 2020年 6月2日 下午 2:00 - 3:00 CST
Maybe you could review your translations?
Hi @Leszek ,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll have the translation team take a deeper look at the formatting there.
Hi @AshC ,
Hope you are well!
In addition to the suggestion offered by Leszek, may I also please suggest the improvements below for the reminder emails:
If reminder email is to be sent 1 hour before event starts, corresponding English description is “This is a reminder that “webinar name” will begin in 1 Hour on:"
The current translation is “在此提醒您，【Webinar Name】将在以下时间后开始1小时 时间：”
The right transaction should be “在此提醒您，【Webinar Name】将在1小时后开始，即：”
If reminder email is to be sent 1 day before event starts, corresponding English description is “This is a reminder that “webinar name” will begin in 1 Day on:"
Current translation is “在此提醒您，【Webinar Name】将在以下时间后开始1天 时间：”
The right translation should be “在此提醒您，【Webinar Name】将在1天后开始，即：”
Looking forward to any updates you can offer on the progress of these changes!
Thanks for the feedback, Olivia!
I've forwarded this onto our translation team to review.
Is there any timeline on when we can expect changes?
Possibly next week I believe.
Thanks for your patience.
I see this has not yet been fixed?
Could you please advise on the timeline?
