Remote Printing Unreliable

I've had an issue with a user trying to print to her home printer. It originally was just her home printer not showing up, but we resolved that with a batch file that restarts her spooler. Now, when she tries to print to it she's getting an error from the LMI printer port. I've  been reading around, but I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps to take. My research has lead basically no where. Does anyone have suggestions for finding a root cause? It does work sometimes, so I don't think it's an issue with our work network/firewall. Thanks for your help!
