Photoshop Tools

Anyone else notice that the cursor no long reflects the currently selected tool in Photoshop CC 2018? A few tools have been glitchy for a while (i.e., the brush tool only visible at certain sizes), but now no matter which tool I select, the cursor just remains a black arrow (and not even the move tool black arrow, but just the plain cursor black arrow). Makes it practically impossible to do any fine tuning in Photoshop. :/

    Hi, I'm having this same problem going from PC to PC, Windows 10. I just get the same mouse icon for everything which is making life quite difficult.

    I've found that (going from a PC to PC) that the mouse icon doesn't change depending on what I'm doing. For example inside a graphics program I don't get a Pen or Hand icon, it just remains as a pointer. This is particularly problematic inside Photoshop where I need visual feedback when using a brush.

     

    Why is this happening? I didn't have the same issue going from Mac to Mac or even PC to Mac.

    Has this issue been solved now?

    I have noticed this issue with any Adobe + Autodesk product so far.

    Car_Stock Stephaly  We have recreated this on Mac OS, and plan a fix in the very near future.  As the resolution is confirmed we will update the Community with more information.

    It started 1-2 weeks ago.
     
    Host: El Capitan version 10.11.6
    Remote: Sierra version 10.12.6
    LMI version 4.1.6934 (plugin 1.0.1957)
     
    It happens in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. All tools in those programs appear as a black arrow. It also happens on the desktop, for example when duplicating a file by dragging and holding the option key, a little green dot with a plus sign should appear but doesn’t. The file still duplicates, it’s just missing the little green duplicate icon.

    Car_Stock Sorry for the display behavior there.

     

    Could you say if this is new behavior, or have these tools always appeared as such?

    Specifically what operating systems are being used at the Host/Client side?

    What LMI App version is the LMI Control Panel running?

    What applications are being utilized when this occurs?

    Mac user here. The icons for various tools, for example the hand, eye dropper, text tool, etc. all appear as a black arrow on my remote screen. I asked someone to check the host screen as I worked and they reported the icons all appear as they should on the host screen. Does anyone know how to solve this?

    Yes, it worked fine for years. It's only within the last year that these glitches have been occurring.
