Hello,
When I remote control a customer's mac running macOS Catalina, I can see background,

I had the same issue and I opened a ticket with LMI support. They gave me a script to run in Terminal and it worked perfectly! Figured I would share to see if it works for anyone else.
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/LogMeIn-Rescue $ rm /tmp/lmi.txt ; CX_LOG=/tmp/lmi.txt /Applications/LogMeIn-Rescue.app/Contents/MacOS/LogMeIn-Rescue >>/tmp/lmi.txt 2>&1

Having the same issue. Can't control but Support-LogmeinRescue is already checked under Security & Privacy > Accessibility and Screen Recording. The Support-LogmeinRescue box is frozen and can't be unchecked/rechecked so their is no way to control the users Mac.

You need to remove the ticks and then re-add ticks (under Security & Privacy > Accessibility and Screen Recording "Support-LogmeinRescue" box).
- Aries_LMI5 years agoNew ContributorNot only this, but you need to remove the old LMI entries in those boxes or you're not re-checking what you Think you are. MacOS has a bad habit of remembering something it doesn't need to.

Well its Friday and after 2-3 days of all working great we are now back to square one, rescue works fine on my PC Win 10 Pro, it works fine on my older G5 Apple Mac, and is totally useless on my Apple Book Pro.
No new updates on Laptop, rescue starts, I can see clients machines, I can enter their user names and passwords, then it just freezers once I try to login to clients machines.
So as long as I site in my office for the rest of my life and don't upgrade any of my machines all works.
Is anyone having better luck than me with this problem.

If you read my post I specifically say that you can't uncheck and recheck the box. It is frozen checked. I even included a screen capture video to demonstrate the issue.

Under "Security & Privacy", (the padlock needs to be open) so that you can make remove/readd the tick. If the "Support-LogmeinRescue" window has frozen you could try force quitting it and trying again. If it still fails you could try booting the Mac in safe mode and see if you have any better luck.

I know the padlock has to be unlocked. The checkbox is still frozen checked but doesn't allow remote control. You can see in the screen capture video I posted. You also cannot remove the Support-LogmeinRescue entry by hitting the minus button below, its just stuck. I even tried running tccutil reset Accessibility from command prompt and having the customer reconnect, still no luck. This is not a problem with first time connections, its returning users who have already granted permissions. The Support-LogmeinRescue box under Accessibility is frozen checked but doesn't allow control.
