Re: Double cursor

I had a computer update LMI this morning and have this currently happening. I had to disable screen blanking in options on the tool bar and the double cursor went away.

Re: Double cursor

@Chelseytx

Hmm. Thats not good. Just to share my finding with you. We need both blank screen and dual cursor to be fixed.  Currently, we have to disabled the blank screen (disabled virtual display driver in device manager) to fixed the dual cursor and most importantly, we have to turn off 70+  computers monitors so that nobody can see what our "work from home" users is doing.

I did download the "test build"  from this thread and it works for me. Uninstalled the current Logmein Host, delete whatever when prompted. Restart the computer and install the "test build" and restart the computer. So far, my computer blank screens and dual cursor fixed on my computer if i work from home (confirmed by my colleague).  Since its a test build, my boss ask me to wait for their final version before roll out to the rest of the computers. The reason i totally uninstalled the problem Logmein host is because, we disabled the virtual display driver in "device manager" which when upgrading the Logmein host with the test build will not get the virtual display driver to enable. So a totally uninstalled and fresh installed is needed.

Re: Double cursor

@Chelseytx  Can you please confirm the operating system version and LMI software version installed there?

Re: Double cursor

THANK YOU!!!

I went in and did this and is working great now... I couldn't stand the double curser and thus far by doing this, it works... I hope it sticks!  If not, I will know to go back in and see about the device manager again!

Re: Double cursor

@AshC

Is the final build that fixed the dual cursor and blank screen released? If so, please provide me the link to download and try out on our computers.

The following is what i have tried on the computers that the Logmein virtual display device was disabled:

- with the "test build" version 4.1.0.14404, the dual cursor and blank screens work fine after did a complete uninstalled of Logmein Host, restart and install.

- With version 4.1.0.14344 that i downloaded from Logmein Central "deployment package link" of our account, did the full uninstalled, restart and install from fresh.  dual cursor and blank screens will not work unless i disabled the Logmein virtual display device.

I was told by my supervisor to not install the test build for all the computer for now until the final version is released. Question: if i were to go ahead and install the "test build" and the final version is push out to all client, will the test build be replace by the final build?

Re: Double cursor

We have another fix for this coming in about 3 weeks.  Hopefully this will resolve all the cursor issues when screen blanking is engaged.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Double cursor

Has there been a fix yet for the double-cursor issue and the user blanking out their monitors?
