I have no video( green lines) when I try to connect to my host machine with two monitors from my mobile device. If I disconnect the dock from the host it works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi @MGVTX, welcome to the community.
In my experience docking stations can be troublesome, can you provide some more technical details about what you are using? Make and model etc?
The dock I am using is a Dell D1000. I am using one HDMI connection and one VGA. I suppose I could try switching the connection types to HDMI and DP and see if that makes a difference. I don't have issues with teamviewer but I am a logmein user.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Thank you. From looking over Dell's documentation I see a Display Link driver is involved, so it will be interesting to see if the issue goes away when you switch connections. If you disconnect the dock altogether and connect does the issue still happen?
Glenn,
So switching the cable types did not work and plugging video cables directly to the laptop did not work. I put everything back to normal and tried from my coworkers phone and he was able to view both monitors without issue. I tried re-installing logmein on my phone figuring that may help, but it did not unfortunately. Maybe there's no winning this battle.
Thank you. What is the make and model of your phone?
Google Pixel 4A - my coworkers phone is even older
@MGVTX I'm still running some tests to recreate this. I wasn't able to recreate it using my Pixel 5 to connect to my Windows 11 PC which has two monitors. I'll keep trying though.
Glenn,
So I tried leaving my laptop open, so I had 3 active screens. I was then able to see the laptop screen, but the other screens were still scrambled lines.
