Question on LMI rescue UAC prompt

Good morning, TGIF!

Was attempting remote software install on user Windows 10 Pro computer. When I double clicked to run the exe, of course a UAC prompt came up (users in my co. are not local admins on their computers). But I could not type in the box at all. In that sense it reminded me of Bomgar. Anyone else run into this? As soon as the user clicked 'no' the install attempt was terminated and I regained full control of mouse and keyboard.

Any ideas or thoughts, or if this is some new feature and I need to do something / have my user do something, please let me know.

thanks

Scott

Re: Question on LMI rescue UAC prompt

Hello kcmagg1!

Thank you for your feedback.

It is by design if your rescue applet was not running in Windows System Service mode and the currently logged in user was not admin on their PC.

You can restart the Rescue applet in Windows System Service mode if it is not disabled in the Admin Center.

Best,

Sandor

Re: Question on LMI rescue UAC prompt

Hey I see now what I missed when I had that user try a fresh session with me. LOL talk about a senior moment! Thank you for the pointer in the right direction!
