ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: LogMeIn vs LogMeIn Client Hi, Regarding the LogMeIn Client app, your end users can see the installation but they can not use it, unless you add their email address to your master account holder as secondary users with permissions to access the account dashboard and computers. Here are my tips: - Talk to your LogMeIn account manager and check if your account qualifies for a Customer Success Manager, so the Success team may help you with deployment tips and best practices ;) -you can try to hide LMI client app from the list of programs, you need to follow the CMD line install instructions as per KB here http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/I-am-having-trouble-with-installation-Is-there-another-way-to-install-LogMeIn-en1/?q=command+line+install&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1 and specify the parameters at the end “-hideclient” for the client app - if you want to hide the host software:You can set “Kiosk Mode” on the registry key to hide LMI host software: e.g.: HKLM\Software\LogMeIn\V5\Appearance\KioskMode (REG_DWORD) 1 - there is a great video about deployment on this linkhttps://www.logmein.com/central/resources/masterclasses I hope it helps Re: Ability to comment on a session with comments available as an option in the session / user report Hi. 1)What Central package do you have? Depending on the package you can have access to the activity report. Check the available reports on this link by Central Package http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/Documentation/central-c-central-reporttypes/?q=reporting&l=en_US&c=products%3Almicentral&fs=Search&pn=1 2) You can also use "journal" field on the background notes to fill out what was done on that session and it will appear on reports. learn more about backgorund access on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po0k2ZVPWgU The "journal" field is on the right bottom of the screen I hope it helps Re: Suggestions for LogMeIn Central Features Hi This feature is available in the Central Premier package. the feature is called "Alerts", you can receive an email notification whenever an alert package is assigned to the computers you want to monitor when their are down or even applications and event ids. Here is the demo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1CuTtkz9_E&t=0s&index=25&list=PLkQpOffSkv-9b5up1PkOL6vKin4bvKoyy you can also find the documentation on the user guide: https://documentation.logmein.com/documentation/EN/pdf/Central/LogMeIn_Central_UserGuide.pdf?_ga=2.19835320.1680100286.1514972464-2086768400.1512735654 I hope it helps Re: Tips for Large Accounts Hi there. You have great questions! I would recommend getting in touch with your Account Manager at LMI and check with them if your account qualifies for a Customer Success Manager help. Customer Success Managers help by sharing best practices to achieve what you are looking for. Here it goes my 2 cents for O2M: The default quota for O2M is 1GB/task max AND 3GB/account max. For example, users can either have 3x1GB tasks or 255x11.7MB task, up to 1000 The maximum number of Plans per account is 255. 1k machines at a time I wouldschedule tasks for groups of 200/300 machines to run the plans at different times You can also create a self-healing action using alerts, whenever an alert triggered the associated task will run automatically, this is great to basic troubleshooting or start services Pull the failed tasks history, and try to understand if there is a pattern to cause the same error on several machines For reporting: -as you already figured out smaller groups are more responsive, I would break them into smaller groups so when running report do it by computer group, os it won't take too long to run a report -
