Just had this issue again. sent a gotomeeting link, the panelist joined that and it immediately solved the problem, no mucking around with the terminal etc. Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? I couldn't agree more, We have an annual contract and when that's due for renewal next year, I'm really thinking of moving everything over to Zoom. It looks as though there's absolutely no development going on with GotoWebinar, whether it's this issue or trying to get people's audio connected, the lack of virtual backgrounds, you name it it's just getting a bit tired and I'm struggling to find a reason to keep with it. However, try the gotomeeting fix, it seems to fix things when I've done it, gotomeeting seems to work where gotowebinar doesn't and then fixes the permissions with gotowebinar. Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? Following AmnonR's brilliant solution, I now have a permanent GotoMeeting room and link set up and the moment somebody can't get their permissions to work, I fire them that in an email they open the meeting and they get asked for the permissions, seems to work every time. Actually had the Mic not getting permissions this week, camera worked fine.....ho hum. Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? Yes we are still getting issues every now and again but I think that must be interesting to Gotowebinar that it has worked in the past and not now, did she have to download the software again? Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? Thanks for your reply The problem is, these are remote panelists, we are a service provider using GotoWebinar so this is a real issue, They go to to system prefences and Gotomeeting/webinar does not appear there. restarting also does not work. We can have 2 mac users logging in and 1 will work and 1 won't. PC users work every time. Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? And just had the same issue again, right now........ Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? FYI, still having issues here, just now same again a mac desktop no joy, laptop comes up no problem. I agree Zoom looks increasingly a preferable choice, way more reliable. Re: Why can't I share my camera on macOS Catalina? Hi, I think there may be a few of these posts but there are no answers so I'll start a new one in the hope of some help. Did a tech tech with a panelist for an event next week. they're on a macbook latest OS. Sure enough the camera doesn't work, Gotomeeting is not appearing in the webcam security pane at all, so can't even manually add it. The panelist on my instruction has tried restaring several times, uninstalling/installing software, nothing works, it still won't appear, the message is coming up to allow it in prefences but when the user ets there, nothing. They are not running any anti virus/firewall software Skype/teams/zoom all working perfectly. Another panelist also on a mac, of course had no problems! Any ideas? Thanks Re: the number of attendees by Phone Still a lot of organizations with crazy firewalls out there, the only way is to dial in. Re: the number of attendees by Phone Phone calls arriving as in Gotomeeting as caller 1 etc would be a very good start. If during the registration process, someone could tick a box saying "I'd like to attend by phone" and be sent a pin via email, that would be excellent. As I've said elsewhere, them dialling a number to to raise there hand to as a question would make me a very happy person indeed. I could then ditch may other conference call facility....
