Re: Recording skipping
Good morning Ash, Unfortunately we do not utilize the cloud recording feature. The system hosting / recording the meeting is running Windows 10 Pro. The machine that is sharing its screen and doing the RDP is also Windows 10 Pro. The host/recorder doesn't notice any issues during the meeting, it is only present in the recording. and just to clarify - The Host is only recording the meeting, a different user is sharing their screen and doing the RDP.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRecording skipping
I have a user who when recording the meeting and sharing their screen encounters an issue where the recording will skip and be much shorter than it should be. This seems to happen when they share their screen and open up the program "NoMachine" to RDP into a linux based machine. The issue occurs even if someone else is the one sharing their screen and this user is recording. The recording could be ~10 minutes in total, with the size of the recording file being big enough to reflect that. The actual recording (after converting or playing as a .wmv) is only ~30 seconds and while the audio and video sounds correct it skips over multiple sections of the recording. Are there any known issues/bugs with certain programs or protocols when using Gotomeeting?Solved1.9KViews0likes5CommentsRe: No Audio/Extremely distorted/slow audio in recordings.
We did more testing with different scenarios (on LAN as well as VPN and hotspot) and so far the issue has only appeared when the user is on their home network, so it seems to be something there that is causing this issue.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: No Audio/Extremely distorted/slow audio in recordings.
We have seen this behavior both on a VPN (although I use the same VPN no issues) and on the LAN. Also had another check for drivers and updates today and still no changes. Definitely seems like something with his PC just can't seem to single it out unfortunately.2KViews0likes1CommentRe: No Audio/Extremely distorted/slow audio in recordings.
Hey Ash, Yes we have checked drivers and there have been multiple updates to both the client and OS since this started, this is actually an issue we discovered on a recording from a couple months ago, and it is still present when we tested last week. They were connected to the meeting via phone. Thank you, William2.1KViews0likes3CommentsNo Audio/Extremely distorted/slow audio in recordings.
I have a user who cannot record meetings successfully. When we both record the same meeting ( <5min test meeting) my recording comes out as expected but his comes out with either no audio or extremely slow/distorted audio. I have tried taking his g2m files and converting them on my laptop with the same results. Is there anything we can do to recover the audio from his recordings? I have already tried to convert his original g2m files as well as just change them to a *.wmv, the issue persists either way which makes me think it is corrupted while recording, not converting. I had him uninstall and reinstall the application, but still no luck. Thank you, WilliamSolved2.3KViews0likes5Comments
