Over the last month or so, our customer service lines have exploded with registrants unable to access our webinars. When they try, the get a blue spinning circle in their browser. We've tried both Chrome and Edge. We've made sure that browsers are updated to the latest versions. We've had them try incognito tabs or windows. Nothing seems to help. Any ideas?? This is a new problem for us and we don't know how to resolve it. Polling Struggles I don't know if I'm alone here but we have been struggling MIGHTILY with polls since the new GoToWebinar experience has come out of beta for standard events. With every webinar held, we have numerous participants who cannot answer polls at all or are only able to answer the same letter option every time. Since we offer continuing professional education, we rely heavily on polls for attendance verification. I did submit a ticket and was told I need to schedule all events as webcasts to avoid this in the future or to be sure our participants are utilizing only the desktop app. Neither of those are great solutions in my opinion. Not a great customer experience... Virtual Event Email Functionality (make optional)- Customize or turn off We used this feature last year in December and we were largely impressed with how it worked. A major stumbling block for us, however, was the inability to customize or turn off the email templates. We take registrations through our CRM platform so the duplicative emails caused our customers to receive communications they didn't need with some mixed messaging. We would love to utilize this tool again...but the lack of flexibility with the emails is holding us back right now. Re: Email settings for Virtual Events This is precisely the issue that we ran into last year when we used the Virtual Event option. It's a shame because we were mostly impressed with the rest of the functionality...but the mandatory emails were a pretty substantial issue for us. Plans for Virtual Event Updates? Any news on whether or not there will be updates and/or enhancements made to the virtual event feature? We used it last year for a couple of multi-day events. There are two significant issues that will prevent us from using it again this year if they are not resolved. The inability to edit and/or delete the email templates. The fact that registrants aren't able to join a session until the scheduled start time. Loved the rest of the functionality but these were definitely hiccups for us. Thanks!
