ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: One2Many registry changes for "CURRENT_USER" in a different user context than the authenticated userIn order to change anything in the HKCU registry range your need to be accessing the machine as that user so that those keys are effected. This is true with BAT or VBS. I am not sure if Powershell can provide a solution. Hope this helps. Re: LogMeIn AntiVirus Not Being Detected Same story here. 900 Endpoints with Windows Update issues and now LMI AV issues and the fix is to manually touch each machine (really?!). To be honest, I am OK with the issue as it can happen to all/any of us. The problem is: - lack of communication - poor support - no priority to fix - no real (RMM) solution to fix - no upgrades to platform for long-term stability I hate to say it, but it may be time to start to look for a new RMM partner and that really stinks. Unfortunately things are getting worse here, not better. John Re: Windows Updates Same issue here. Almost 900 endpoints and all are showing this behavior. I hate to say it (and I am not trying to be a jerk) but submitting a ticket or calling tech support is almost always a waste of time. Please update the product so that the Windows update works appropriately 100% of the time (at least 90% of the time). It is not an environment issue (this is happening at many locations for us (domain, non-domain, different typologies, different Internet providers, etc.). This is a LMI issue that needs to be addressed. The product is simply not working. Thank you. John Re: LogMeIn Antivirus will not install If a Windows server: Bitlocker or other Encryption software – Compression is not turned on – Secure Boot is turned off (BIOS) – any products with “helpful AV components” like Acronis’s “Active Protection” that comes with True Image are turned off or might need to be temporarily removed – and if the server is a RO server which will not allow changes to survive a reboot. Off top of my head would start with those. Bitlocker or other Encryption software - no encryption Compression - Off No secure boot on this server Not RO Server What other suggestions are there since these items are negative? Thanks! Re: LogMeIn Antivirus will not install Yes. Server has been rebooted (this has been ongoing for a month). Looking for some sort of remedy. Thanks!! Re: LogMeIn Antivirus will not install I now have this on a server machine I am trying to push the AV to. The message on the red triangle is: Unable to install LogMeIn Antivirus. Visit help.logmein.com for assistance. Error message: LogMeIn AV install failed. There are no other AV products on the system. The installation process reboots the server and then fails. What remedies are there for this issue? (besides nuke and pave as I am not doing that with a server). Thanks. Re: LogMeIn Antivirus - What AV engine runs it? You are correct. I really like LogMeIn Central, but a lot of the solutions feel half-baked. - AV - No firewall control, error if you disable, no way to remotely uninstall, no provided scripts for installation issues or removal. - Third-party patching - No script to cleanly remove Kaspersky software (what does the patching) - Windows Patching - No assistance to reset policies if LogMeIn cannot take control of update due to previous RMM or policy install. Executive Report - Does not include third-party patching, cannot be automated. No posted road map for coming features. Etc. The product is great. I am hoping 2020 brings some simply upgrades and fine-tuning to what is already there. Go Go LMI! Thanks for sharing your opinion on the boards! Re: Logmein AV - Block Certificate credentials from sites (https) - As reported here, whatever 'fix' was delivered does not remedy the issue (it has not worked for us either). - It is ridiculous to expect the manually uninstall and reinstall of the product to correct the problem. How many hours would this take on hundreds of machines? - LMI AV has some fundamental issues and missing features that need to be corrected ASAP. -- Uninstall from the Web Control Panel -- Restore quarantined/removed files from Web Control Panel (or even manually). - When can we expect an update on the current problem? Is there a schedule for feature improvements? Thanks. Can you confirm that this issue has been resolved? If so, are there any steps that LMI AV users need to take on our end in concerns to policy or configuration to avoid the problem? Thanks. John Re: LogMeIn Antivirus will not install AshC, I never heard back from my ticket to support (#disappointed). I had to deliver this machine to the customer today. Due to its simple setup (very lucky), I nuked and paved the entire device and reinstalled everything to resolve the issue. The red triangle provided no insight. Basically could not install, see the LogMeIn Support pages. Thanks for the follow-up. Hopefully, I will not see this one again. All the best. John
