USB audio interface drops halfway through a meeting
This problem somewhat "new" to us, but has been seen for several months. Tracking down the root cause has been frustrating. We are using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface to connect our meeting room's sound system into one laptop in a multi-person GoToMeeting session. All other in-room laptops have audio muted, to eliminate feedback. There are probably around two dozen participants in the session, most of them remote. This configuration works great, until it doesn't work at all. The problem occurs after an extended period of time. It could be after an hour, or it could be longer. What happens is that the application, running on a Windows 10 laptop, loses the "connection" to the external USB device. The external interface appears to be working normally, based on status and activity LEDs. When we exit and rejoin the meeting, we notice that the audio source has changed back to the laptop's default microphone and speaker. Normally, GTM remembers the most recently selected device. Manually setting the source to the USB device restores the connection. The only indication we get that the problem has occurred is when a remote participant complains in the chat window that there is no sound. Perhaps we need to constantly monitor the settings side-bar, to see if the audio source changes spontaneously. However, we're usually monitoring the chat side-bar looking for questions or requests to speak. We're using manual "floor moderation". We've disabled all of the Windows power management features for USB that we could find. The laptop screen doesn't go into inactivity blanking. We've configured the laptop to disable all power saving policies while running on the AC adapter. We have installed the most recent device driver for the USB interface from the manufacturer's web site. At this point, we're looking for: (1) troubleshooting suggestions, and (2) advice from others who have seen similar problems. Thanks, in advance!Solved2.2KViews0likes6CommentsNot getting password reset email for a single account
One of our users that was set up for GoToMeeting isn't getting a password reset email. I requested a password reset for my account and it went right through, so it's not a filter issue. I monitored our email server and have not seen one come through for her. I have verified that the email she was set up with is the same one we're trying to use for the password reset. What else can I try?Solved1.1KViews0likes1CommentMonitors Going Black When Sharing Screen
Hi, I have found that starting a few months ago, my two external monitors constantly cycle to a black screen and then back to the normal view again and again every 2 or 3 seconds while trying to share my screen. The cycle continues until I stop sharing my screen. This makes sharing my screen impossible as I can barely even track where my mouse is moving. This occurs whether I'm trying to share both of my monitors or only one of them. I also tried unplugging one of my monitors and it still occurs with a single monitor setup. I'm on a Dell laptop with the main screen disabled, so I have two external montiors hooked up via HDMI with one being on an external USB-C adapter. I'm running on Windows 10 and I have an Nvidia Geforce 1050. Are there any options that I can change that might be causing this to happen?Solved1.8KViews0likes2CommentsChanging Powerpoint slides while using the annotation tools
While sharing my screen to display a powerpoint presentation, I am unable to advance the powerpoint slide deck when I activate one of the writing tools in GOTO Meeting (i.e. the pen or highlighter). When I am using the GOTO meeting writing tools to hihglight data in my presentation, how do I advance to the next slide? Hello, I recently upgraded my Account from GoToMeeting Pro to GoToMeeting Business. Unfortunately, now it seems that it is not possible to Download the attendee list of past meetings in the GoToMeeting Admin Section to a Excel File any more. I can see the attendee list online, but cannot download a file. In GoToMeeting Pro however, it is still possible. How is it possible that a more expensive pricing plan has lees features? Are you kidding me? Would be very great if you could tell me where to find the excel file download in GoToMeeting Business. Thank you very much, kind regards JensSolved5.2KViews0likes7CommentsRecording skipping
I have a user who when recording the meeting and sharing their screen encounters an issue where the recording will skip and be much shorter than it should be. This seems to happen when they share their screen and open up the program "NoMachine" to RDP into a linux based machine. The issue occurs even if someone else is the one sharing their screen and this user is recording. The recording could be ~10 minutes in total, with the size of the recording file being big enough to reflect that. The actual recording (after converting or playing as a .wmv) is only ~30 seconds and while the audio and video sounds correct it skips over multiple sections of the recording. Are there any known issues/bugs with certain programs or protocols when using Gotomeeting?Solved1.8KViews0likes5CommentsNo Audio/Extremely distorted/slow audio in recordings.
I have a user who cannot record meetings successfully. When we both record the same meeting ( <5min test meeting) my recording comes out as expected but his comes out with either no audio or extremely slow/distorted audio. I have tried taking his g2m files and converting them on my laptop with the same results. Is there anything we can do to recover the audio from his recordings? I have already tried to convert his original g2m files as well as just change them to a *.wmv, the issue persists either way which makes me think it is corrupted while recording, not converting. I had him uninstall and reinstall the application, but still no luck. Thank you, WilliamSolved2.1KViews0likes5CommentsDisable "Confirm your email" identity confirmation
Disable Confirm your email Kind assistance are to request the deactivation of the email confirmation because, having more offices in Italy, the system checks the accesses and blocks the accounts, often also asks us to enter the verification code but the email does not always arrive. since the e-mail with the code does not arrive, he blocks the account and asks to reset the password.Solved3.3KViews0likes9CommentsMeeting Link not in Google Calendar
Hello, When I am sent a meeting invitation and I accept the invite from Gmail, it populates the meeting time, attendees, and the description in my Google Calendar but always leaves out the ways to join the meeting (such as the link, phone numbers, etc). The invite is also sent to another user who accepts the invite from Mozilla Thunderbird and when it populates into his Google Calendar, it includes everything (plus *\t at the beginning of each paragraph). How do I correct this? Thank you, KTSolved2.4KViews0likes2Comments
