Disable modifier key toggle on hold?
Wondering if there is a way to disable the feature of pressing and holding a modifier key toggling it being held in a remote session. At least that's what I assume is going on.
Recently been having an issue where if I hold down Shift too long, the remote connection stops accepting any letters that aren't uppercase. It's not that they come out in capitals, just nothing comes out at all.
So if I'm trying to type something like P#&Nstuff by holding down the Shift key, what the remote session will type is P#&N and nothing else. The only way to get it working again is to fiddle with Shift and capital letters. Doing each capital individually and releasing Shift in between won't cause the issue, it's only when it's pressed and held for a few seconds. I could see how maybe this would be useful in some situations, but I'd love to be able to disable it.

I have noticed no difference between the left and right shift, except in my own case I type slower with the right shift down, so that by itself causes it to happen less. If I try to hurry to match my left-side speed, it also stops working with lowercase characters. As I did some more testing, what seems to cause it is if you type a capital letter/symbol (something using Shift) and then release Shift before releasing the character. So if you press and hold Shift, press the key and then release Shift before releasing the key, it will get "stuck" (tested this using the on screen keyboard, and it would also get stuck with Shift showing as pressed down and then you can't type anything at all without adding another Shift_key). Doesn't happen all the time, but that seems to be what triggers it.
I feel like this is something that recently started as I've only noticed this issue for a few weeks or so.

Hi TimothyD,
I see what you mean. Out of curiosity, could you try using the right Shift key next time to see if it happens as frequently?
