Possible to automate an announcement over horn PA for break time?
Is it possible to play a recording on a schedule, like every day at 10am announcing break time?

While the GotoConnect rep is partially correct, it can be used as a PA system. However, being able to automate requires something external to play those announcements. While I am not specifically recommending this specific item, something like the Algo Paging and scheduling adapter would work, although that particular brand needs a bit of an assist from the support, because they need to give you a SIP address for it, depending on how you have it function.

I don't think I mentioned, we already have 3 Algo 8186 horn speakers. Does that change the situation?
- I don't believe Algo horns have the scheduler built in and you can't START a GoToConnect dial plan at a schedule. If you notice, the dial plan always starts with an 'into the dial plan node', instead of starting with whatever you put as the first node. Basically, an action seems to have to initiate a dial plan rather than a dial plan self-activating off a schedule (which makes sense, since it is a dial plan).
So, the Algo paging adaptor and scheduler allows you to bridge that gap. The paging adaptor part allows it to connect to your phones' intercom and also IP horns using multicast paging.
It takes a bit of configuration and fine tuning.
