Sending SMS is SPAM?

Very new user of Goto. I own and operate a small landscaping business. I just need a professional phone number different than my personal number. I need to call customers, partners, suppliers, and prospects. I also need to send SMS to my customers and to prospective customers. I always send messages that I write on my phone keyboard, letter by letter, to one person at a time. I know the people I send messages to. I am trying to comply with any regulations. I have updated my website with the necessary information. It has been approved, I am told. So in theory I am allowed to use the phone number that I'm paying for, to send SMS. Unfortunately, I can't. It looks like I can send a "Fax". But there s no way to send or receive a text message. Can anyone help me? Obviously I do need to send text messages to communicate with my customers who ask me for help and to give them estimates and to fix their yards. Why am I prevented from sending legitimate communications to my customers that I serve with hard work, while I have, seemingly, complied with the regulation? Meanwhile, I still get robocalls, scams and spams on my phone number day in day out. I'm sorry if my tone is a bit off but I am frustrated as I ve been dealing with this issue for a month now and my business is suffering. I have finally got the attention of someone in support and they are trying to solve the issue. But so far, no luck. I need some help. And I would also be interested in understanding the reasons why I cannot use my phone number. If anyone out there has some clues, I would love to hear it.

    Hi Lermontov, welcome to the community.

     

    I appreciate your frustration, but it would be best if your assistant had continued working with our support representative. I've read through the support case notes and the rep's conversation with our L2 support while they were talking with your assistant, and this appears to be a technical issue and not an issue with the SMS Registration. 

     

    Do you have another iPhone or an Android phone that you could install our App on and sign into your account with as a test to see if the same issues happen?
