wsmiller475 GoToMeeting employs a feedback reduction technique so that if your microphone is far enough away from the speakers it should keep echo to a minimum. How far away is the mic from your in-person meeting speakers?
Have you tried using the mute-all function when in-person presentations are at hand, until the meeting is open to discussion?

The conference mikes (7) are about 15-20 feet from the speakers on the walls.I haven't tried the unmute-all function. Can't individual attendees unmute themselves anyway?William- AshC5 years agoRetired GoTo Contributor
The VoIP audio options vary slightly from telephone, in that VoIP uses soft-mute commands only.
If you need to 'hard-mute' the entire audience, then dial in by phone as the Organizer, and rotate through listening modes by pressing the *5 keys.
