Interupted webinar
An attendee from a webinar yesterday notified us that their signal was interrupted briefly and the entire program started over after watching for 10 minutes. They were very disappointed as this was their first time attending a webinar. Do you have any ideas what might have caused this? As the organizer, there were no issues delivering the webinar live, and our quality department did not report any issues. This is the only attendee we are aware of who had this experience.

Thank you for sharing this, based on this, I'm not sure what happened with their experience. Live streams cannot start from the beginning while they are being viewed live—they will only show what is currently happening in real time.
Sorry I can't be of more assistance here. If there is anything else you’d like to clarify, let me know.

Thank you for your reply. They said this happened as they were watching live - they were not viewing a recording. I was presenting and screen sharing.

Hi VWB,
Thank you for getting back to me and confirming that it was a live webcast.
Based on what you described, this behavior is expected in a certain scenario. If you share a recorded video, the video would restart from the beginning when a participant logged off or was disconnected and then logged back in. Once the webinar transitions back to the live broadcast, the video would end, which may appear abrupt or cut off.
If you were presenting and screen sharing, it would not start over from the beginning if someone logged off and logged on.
I understand how this experience may have been confusing and apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello Kate, this was during a live webcast. We start webinars at 11:50 am for participants to join, until 12:30pm ET.

Hello! We also experienced minor outages yesterday during a webinar with our clients. I'd like to know the time this event took place so I can understand what might have happened. It was approximately 10:45 AM in Argentina.

Hi VWB nice to see you,
Could you confirm if this was a live standard webinar, recorded webinar, or a webcast?
