This is intended behavior,once an attendeeregistered for a virtual event, attendees are registered for all sessions of the virtual event. With the confirmation email, they are directed to the event page, where they can view all sessions, and add individual sessions to their calendar and create notifications by clicking 'Remind Me'
An alternative could be to create a Standard Webinar, under 'Occurs' choose 'Custom', there you can add multiple dates.
The Registration email requires attendees to choose a date, they would then receive a confirmation email for that session.
