Trouble Logging in to remote computer

I was logged on to a remote computer and everything was working fine.  For some reason it lost the connection and now when I try to log in it is like I'm trying to log on to the computer I am on.  I click the name for the remote computer and when the log in screen comes up it is the log in screen for the computer I am using.  Any ideas?
