Safari support needed for GoToWebinar Webcasts - join in browser

I've been told by GoTo support staff that live webinars are no longer supported while using Safari.  This is happening since the recent update on Aug 7, 2025.

The developers need to update the GoTo Webinar software to support Mac computer users.  I have been using GoTo for several years without this being a problem on Mac computers, so for the developers to just drop support for one of the primary web browsers is simply ridiculous.

Glenn, that's my point, Safari is not supported for GoToWebinar.  Requiring Mac users to use other browsers is ridiculous.  My experiences with Chrome and Edge are that they corrupt Mac computers, I've had to have my computers flattened and reloaded and my IT folks told me specifically to avoid those browsers on a Mac.  As I told the gentleman on the GoTo support phone call, a developer needs to make their application work with the host computer's operating system.  They should NOT be requiring the end user to adapt their computer's system to the developer's  whims.  The irony here is that I've been using GoToWbinar to attend web meetings for a number of years now and it has worked fine using Safari.  The recent GoTo software update has removed that compatibility with Safari.  It's time for the developers to realize that they need to support Safari users again.  Thanks.

Hi GA4, welcome to the community.

    To clarify:

    •  Joining a webinar or webcast directly in the Safari browser will not supported
    • Attendees will still be able to join from a Mac using the GoTo App or directly in-browser if they have Chrome or Edge installed
    • Support for joining directly in-browser using Safari or Firefox maybe be added in the future
