Perhaps this is "by design" but when on a local system that has unattended on it, I cannot identify what name it has in our unattended list. Checked the registry and everywhere I could think, no luck. My suggestion is why not have the unattended name in the about dialog? I did end up finding a way to figure this out by entering into the Inventory section of the G2A web and searching the computer name, this did give me the matching entry in the unattended list, but it's not as fast as just finding it in the software which logically seems like something that would be there. You may have to make sure that you don't label any systems as "that A****** customer" though. ... View more

We use GoToAssist Remote Support for managing corporately owned computers as well as external customers. We have GoToAssist Unattended Support installed on the corporately owned computers but I need the ability to prevent end users from enabling the feature to block access. We need to have access to the corporately owned computers even when the user is not available to "unblock" us from accessing the computer. GotoAssist is a great product, but there is one behavior that annoys me (and the other guys in the office). When I maximize the gotoassist window, it "takes over" the screen. That is, the task bar is hidden, and any other apps open up behind it. Having the window open like a normal desktop window would be so much better. ... View more

Sometimes when I'm having a problem with the remote, I cannot gather the logs on the customer end to submit a proper bug report. It's bad enough trying to explain to the customer that the remote is not working properly, but that I also have to tie up their machine by gathering logs, sometimes gathering logs is not possible if mouse or keyboard isn't working properly on the remote. Under the file transfer option it would be nice to have a "transfer customer side G2A logs." Just zip them and store them in a folder on the expert side so we can submit more detailed information on systems that seem to have issues with G2A. We have 20 licenses with over 200 unattended sessions setup.  At times more than one technician would like to access the same unattended session but doesn't know who is currently using it since it just says "In Session".  We end up having to email everyone to find out or walk around to find out who it is.  Would be great to have the ability to see who has the session open. ... Hi All -- I have been using GTA for a few years now and love it. One thing I would love to see and it would be a great addition to GTA is a hard reboot option. Sometimes that is just what is needed. Our previous remote tool, did this and it saved a trip for us many times.  Basically it does as "they" describe: "Hard Reboot Reboot as quickly as possible. It would be really helpful to know who the current user that is logged in when viewing the machines in the unattended support list on the desktop side (web interface would be a plus). This is a feature request to have the screen sharing size option remember per unattended client, rather than for the entire GTA Expert client.  I frequently need to change from Scale To Fit to Actual Size since I have 100+ unattended clients, all with greatly varying monitoring sizes.  Servers are most commonly square with smaller resolutions while workstations can be quit large and widescreen.  And then there are workstations where the client just refuses to upgrade their monitor so I'm back to average square screens.  I find myself needing to change my screen size option every 1-2 unattended client sessions. It would save remote support time if the previously-used screen size option was remember per unattended client because we would not need to change this manually with each session connection. My company are currently going through a security audit and we would like to remove any stored credentials for computers in our unattend list so we cannot "auto-login" without a password. I can only find a way to update them not remove them. Once we have removed the existing passwords we would also like to disallow the option to store the credentials if this is possible? ... We need a portable app, something that can be run from a usb flash drive. I'm typically in the field at customer sites, sometimes a different customer needs support, I have three options: Use the android app and run my phone battery down and be inefficient because I'm using a touch interface on something better suited for a keyboard and mouse. Or  Install G2A Expert on the customers system do my work and then uninstall it. Or Drag my laptop out of my bag, ask for the wireless access or turn on my wifi tether on my phone. I want a different option, if we had a single exe to run off a flash drive this process would be easy and leave no traces behind. ... View more
