Re: Unwanted antivirus

I was basically told "Oh well, too bad".  I think they're getting this vendor/customer thing mixed up as to who is who.  LOL.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

Hi, everyone.

Thank you for your patience.

There is a switch just released to permanently disable LogMeIn Anitivirus options for an entire account, available currently if you contact Customer Support to make the request as the account admin.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

I'm glad to hear it.  You sent me a private message asking for me to reply to give you the email address on my account, so as to deactivate the AV.  Your forum system does not allow me to reply to your message.  Funny....

my email address is cameronjpu@hotmail.com.   Thanks -

Re: Unwanted antivirus

They finally got my unwanted AV pop-up removed.  I can't believe how hard it was to get them to do it, but they did.  I hate it when companies take forum threads into private messages, so I'm posting here the reply I got when I said 'great, thanks for getting rid of the AV pop-up, now can we get rid of the LastPass popup"?

"We may change the disablement option to an account setting instead of related to cookies.  This should help avoid any new popups in the future.  "

Note the 'MAY' in there.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

Great, so now that they got rid of the annoying Lastpass come-on, now they have an even more annoying come-on for their antivirus which pops-up after disconnecting.  Isn't it great that it has a check box for "don't ask me this again"?  Well.... that check box only pertains to the remote computer you're using at that moment.  If you're like me, and you remote back into your host from different computers every day, then clicking that check box does literally nothing.

And what happens when I am going to fast and I hit OK instead of Cancel?  I get a whole program installed new on my host that I didn't want.

What's wrong with you idiots?  I try, TRY to be a patient guy. But when a service that I pay for takes every opportunity to try to sell me other services that I don't want, and doesn't give me the chance to say "no, and stop asking", then I get pissed.

Seriously.  What. Is. Wrong. With. You. Idiots?

@cameronjpu  I apologize for the frustration, and will look into checking your account for advert disablement.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

Why was my other post hidden by being archived?  Are you hoping to hide complaints?  If these forums are for users to get help with problems why would you remove one complaining about a problem?  Surely it is more appropriate as its own thread instead of buried here.  I hope this doesn't take 3 months to fix like the last one.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

What was the language that caused you to remove the entire post? I suspect it had more to do with me pointing out what a terrible company this is. When will this new problem be fixed? Just so I can look forward to the next problem that gets created on purpose after that.

Re: Unwanted antivirus

Strange that no action has happened here since my last post.  I guess the new message that I now get upon every disconnection on a new computer is a complete surprise to this amazing company.

Here is the image of what I get.  No matter how many times I click to leave me alone, when I go to a new computer, I get this message upon disconnect.

Logmein hates their customers.
