multi monitor not working

I used to be able to connect to my host system and display both host monitors at the same time across my extended desktop on the remote system.

I recently upgraded my remote system and now I have a problem.  When connected to the host, I can switch between the two host monitors but I cannot display them both simultaneously.  I hold down the shift key and click the maximize option like usual.  I've tried with both shift keys (individually) and with using the full screen menu option instead of the maximize button.

Relevant differences between my old remote setup and new one:
OS - old was XP, new is Win10 Home
2nd monitor - old was VGA, new is HDMI.  No adapters in the middle.

Re: multi monitor not working

I had the same problem after updating and I think the problem can be solved if you go to the Toolbar, click options, go to Monitors and making sure Multi-Monitors is selected. It seems that updating will reset that setting to the default of using one monitor at a time.

Hope that helps!

Re: multi monitor not working

Hi Teresa, I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties with getting the multi-monitor fullscreen functionality to work. This function can be very picky, and best works when the number of monitors on the host and client are the same, along with matching resolutions on the mirrored monitors. DPI scaling can also cause problems if it doesn't match between the host and client, as well.

Re: multi monitor not working

I have been using LogMeIn for years to support clients, most of whom have two screens.  This recent update broke multi-screen support.  None of the hosts allow to see second (or third) screens.

Re: multi monitor not working

@jbruck  I apologize for the issues you're seeing there.

Could you please confirm the GoToMyPC software version and operating system where you are seeing display problems?

Re: multi monitor not working

The latest update has broken my multi-monitor. The 3rd monitor won't show in Multi-monitor mode. I can see all three monitors in All Monitors mode but this isn't useable for me. I can also tab between all three monitors but I can't have all 3 1080p monitors from my office showing on my 4k screen at home.

Very frustrating. Have tried rebooting. Not sure what else to attempt. Recreate the profile maybe?

Re: multi monitor not working

Hi @veteze ,

I apologize for the breakage there.  Can you confirm the operating system and GoToMyPC version set up there?

Have you restarted the Host as well as the Client side PCs?

** You should not have to create a new profile unless you made some unknown display preference changes in the recent past that cannot be reverted.

I've rebooted the host and the client yes.

Client is v 1.3.5008

Host is 4.1.0.13774
