What's New?
Improvements to Recording
- If cloud recording fails in the middle of a session, the desktop app will rely on local recording as a backup. Users will see an "Unable to record to the cloud" message that prompts them to save the recording to the computer.
Improvements to GoToMeeting Installations and Automatic Updates in Per-Machine Installations
- Improvements have been made to the installation and updating flows when the product is installed per machine, including:
- Automatic updates will now remove old and unused builds installed per machine.
- MSI installer will now install files only into the Program Files\GoToMeeting folder (previously it installed some files into the Program Files\LogMeIn\GoToMeeting folder).
- Shortcuts in the Start Menu\Citrix folder have been removed.
Improvements to Searching "GoToMeeting" on Mac
- Mac users will now only see one GoToMeeting application result when they search for the app in the Finger, the spotlight search, and in the launchpad.
Bug Fixes & Minor Changes:
Fix for Network Problems Causing App Crash
- Previously, when Windows users who had network issues attempted to start or join a meeting, the desktop app would go into a "in session" state and not respond to subsequent join attempts for up to a minute. Now, the desktop app will launch an error "Network Connectivity" message.
Additional fixes & minor changes:
- Fix for Mac users experiencing an invalid Screen Sharing pane when multiple attendees attempted to share screen at the same time
- Fix for Mac attendees seeing the "Unable to recording to the cloud" message intended for only the organizer
- Fix for the app intermittently crashing on Mac
- Fix for the app being stuck in the join flow when there was an issue with downloading a matching build
- For troubleshooting purposes, advanced technical users can now access the "Audio Statistics" window by clicking Audio Statistics in the Control Panel drop-down menu
- Fix for the app being slow to quit from the Dock if it was in an App Nap state
- The Audio Preferences window will open for users who have high contrast mode enabled and click Sound Check while in session
