When an attendee wants to speak, they don't know until they've already tried to unmute themselves that they need to change their settings on their device. This causes delays and confusion during the webinar. When the webinar is in waiting mode at the beginning or when an attendee joins, there should be some kind of notification that tells them they need to get their mics ready. From my iPad I would need to go to settings to enable the microphone but I don't know that until I've already tried to unmute myself to speak and this causes delays in the presentation and feels unprofessional. We need to make it easier for attendees to interact. Customized Welcome Screen Instead of the boring "welcome - we'll be with you in a moment" screen before webinars start. Is there a way to post informative slides/video instead? Like something that will show each slide for 4-5 seconds and then cycle through until the meeting starts? Chat Feature for Speakers So I know speakers have access to the chat. However, when people are speaking/presenting, generally they don't monitor the chat because they're focusing on their presentation. There are times when we'd like to send a quick notification to the speaker like "talk slower", "fix your mic", or "i can see your kid in the background". It would be nice to have a chat feature where a bubble, an icon, or an alert pops up ONLY for whomever is speaking/presenting at the moment to be able to send emergency messages to them. Re: background in GTW Agree with UB Alumni Caree. We have speakers from other organizations join us for webinars and it'd be nice to not have to ask them to download a separate third party service. Some companies don't allow their employees to just download all types of stuff.
